Football Season!

I love football, almost as much as I love Basketball.... or maybe I love them both the same I just get to enjoy both at different times of the year! I was so happy to have football season start. I have my college team and my pro team who I love to cheer for. I watched the season opener and my team won which made me very excited! Both of my teams are doing good so far, but it is still early in the season, so who knows what will eventually happen. But I love the Utah Utes and the New York Giants. That is who I choose to cheer for and no one can change my mind. Especially guys, they have their teams and I have mine. Rivals just makes life so much more interesting. That is why I stand my ground when it comes to sports! I shouldn't have to change the teams I love for a guy. :)

YAY GRADUATION!

Well I finally was able to finish up the last of my classes this summer. It was a long summer, but so worth it in the end. I am so happy to finally be done with my Associates degree, and even more happy to be done with my general studies. Now it is off to Cosmetology school. I am still not sure where I want to go, I need to do a little bit more research on that, but I wont let something keep me from going there. It is what I want to do and I am going to get it done. I was also really excited to graduate because I was able to get a brand new camera. Its not anything overly fancy, but I am way excited to have it. It is a Cannon 590, I haven't had to much time to play with it, but I am sure I will have it for a long time.

Alex!

So a few weeks ago my cousin Alex made a stop to see me on her way to Snow College! It was such a blast to see her. It has been years since we have been able to actually see each other in person. We got to spend an afternoon together and an evening, but that was it. At least she isn't to far away for me to make a weekend visit to her every once in a while. She will need it. She wanted me to come see her this weekend actually, but I have work and I had previous plans. But I will make it down to see her sometime. I love that girl and I am so glad we found each other on myspace a few months back and have been able to keep in touch. :) Here is the crazy girl! LOVE HER TO DEATH! I am so happy she made her mom stop!

We did the whole temple square thing then later that night my boyfriend Casey and I took her up to the Bountiful temple since she had never been there before. It was so windy up there that day, but it is on a hill, what can you expect? This probably wasn't allowed! But we did it anyways! (She wanted a picture with the sign!)

Tubing

So a few weeks ago my friends has the bright idea that we should go tubing down Provo Canyon River. Sure sounds like fun, except the fact I don't like water. But I am trying to be a bigger person and do more daring things, so I finally agreed to it. It was such a long day and everything seemed to go wrong. The best part of the day was when we got all the way up the canyon we realized they were charging a lot to be able to rent tubs, so back down the canyon we went to buy tubes. Little did we realize that after we bought the tubes had them filled they would not fit in the car with us. So we had to get creative on how we were going to get the tubes up the canyon. We got loaded into the car, and I think the pictures are going to be a little self explanatory.

I felt like a total redneck doing this. I couldn't see out of any of my mirrors of off to the side out the windows. It was totally insane, but a lot of fun. We finally got everything taken care of and ready and were finally in the river by 5 that afternoon. Oh I wish we would have started earlier. It was cold and wet, but worth it I think. Well not really since I hate water.
It was a long day and ended with a great place to eat. We all went to Red Robin and had dinner before heading back to Salt Lake. Such a long and exciting day.

One Down! One To Go!

Elder Aaron Glen Hunt!On July 18, I finally hit my one year mark since my missionary left. It has been one long year and will continue to be long, but hopefully it will seem to go by faster since I am on the downward slope. It has definitely been a productive year. He has been moved to many different places and has had to deal with different companions here and there. But in all reality it has just been a great growing and learning experience for him. I love missionaries and the wonderful things they are willing to do. Those who go out on a mission with a real intent make me so proud of them. I hope all missionaries who go out do it for the right reasons and not just because it is expected of them. It truly is a learning experience that will help them throughout their lives. Also just being home I have been changing and learning different things myself. Different things have happened and I have learned from them tremendously. But it makes me a better person doing it and I am happy to have these experiences. I don't know what will happen over the next year, but I know for sure I do not regret sending out a missionary, it has been such a great thing to have experienced.

Good Ol' Summer Time!

There is weekly grilling going on with the family I have up here in Utah. We get together with our friends and family at least once a week sometimes more. They get thrown together at the last minute, but we have a lot of fun. Everyone does different things. Jim is usally the one at the grill, and he does a fabulous job cooking anything and everything we throw on to the grill for him to take care of.
Knoah sits and waits while Uncle Jim finishes cooking dinner for him and everyone else. Oh what am I saying, he is only waiting for himself. He is a hungry boy!
Also we take care of the yard with planting flowers and weeding. This week Carla and Michael did a fabulous job while Aunt Pam stood around and observed to make sure her flowers were being planted right.

We also like to turn on the hose for the little kids to play in and often times the adults end up in a water fight as well. I am usually the most wet because the kids like to side with their parents and attack me. Lilly just likes to show off for the camera any chance she gets. Her and her constantly dirty face just love to smile and cause trouble any chance she gets.

I just love the summer time and all the different get togethers it brings. It is always a blast no matter what.

New Life!

WOW! I got to experience the coolest thing the other night. At least it was the coolest thing to me. I got to see kittens come into this world. It took a long time, but in the end it was cool to have this experience. There were some complications during the birth though. The first kitten was having a hard time coming out, but that makes sense since this was the mothers first time having kittens, so she wasn't even fully aware of what was going on. And its not like she is a person who you can communicate with, but she did seem to understand we were trying to help her and were going to be there to comfort her.

This was the first kitten that had a little bit of trouble. Carla actually had to help pull it out every time the cat would have a contraction. But it turned out fine.

This second black kitten I had to help pull out because it was having troubles like the first. But strangly enough the second and fourth kittens had not trouble coming out at all. It was a late night, but it was such a cool thing to be there for and to help out.

This is all of them the next morning. They are so darling! But there is no way I would let one of them live in my house with me. :) I just don't like cats all that much.
